Christina Hanson is a certified family nurse practitioner and has been working at South Denver Gastroenterology in Denver Colorado for over a decade. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN where she graduated cum laude. She worked as a nurse on a medical-surgical unit in Minneapolis before moving to Colorado in 2003. Christina then began working at Swedish Medical Center in inpatient Gastroenterology. In 2005, she returned to school and obtained her MSN after completing the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Regis University. She graduated with honors and was nominated for the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. Christina is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. She is a course director for the GHAPP association and has a special interest in the management of chronic liver diseases and clinical research. When not working, she enjoys playing in the great outdoors of Colorado with her husband and two beautiful daughters.
