Amanda Chaney is a nurse practitioner and chair of the Advanced Practice Provider Subcommittee at Mayo Clinic in Florida. Dr. Chaney holds an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor in Medicine, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and holds an Associate Appointment in Transplant Medicine. She is a successful published author and national speaker with expertise in topics of sepsis, transplant care, malnutrition, liver disease management, professional development, and leadership. She was inducted as a Fellow with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2017, and Associate Fellow of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AF-AASLD) in 2020. 

Dr. Chaney founded and served as chair of the Influence, Inspiration, and Growth Mayo Employee Resource Group (MERG), whose goal is to assist others in attaining higher levels of scholarship and leadership. She has served in a number of leadership roles of Mayo Clinic and several professional societies including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), and the International Transplant Nurses Society. She received the 2018 State Award for Excellence from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She was a featured guest on Becker’s Healthcare podcast in 2020.
