Quan M. Nhu, MD, PhD is an adult gastroenterologist at Scripps Clinic and an Assistant Professor of Molecular Medicine at Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) in La Jolla, CA. Dr. Nhu trained in Immunology and Immunopathology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, respectively, and in Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Scripps Clinic.

While at University of California, San Diego, Dr. Nhu's research focused on understanding the mechanisms of inflammation and tissue remodeling and fibrosis in eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), and the Nhu laboratory at TSRI currently focuses on developing novel, clinically relevant therapeutic agents for EoE and beyond.

Dr. Nhu's research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the NIH-funded Consortium of Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disease Researchers (CEGIR), Scripps Clinic and Scripps Foundation. Dr. Nhu's research has been recognized by the Ruben F. Gittes MD Department of Medicine Chairman's Excellence in Research Awards and the American College of Gastroenterology Gender-based Research Award. Dr. Nhu's clinical care has been recognized by the Charles & Virginia Feld Award for Humanism in Medicine.
