Alfredo J Lucendo MD, PhD

Alfredo J. Lucendo, MD, PhD, is head of the gastroenterology department at Hospital General de Tomelloso.

Over the past decade, Dr. Lucendo has conducted epidemiological and clinical research on immune-based diseases of the digestive tract, with a special interest in EoE. Dr Lucendo Hospital is a national benchmark for the study and treatment of EoE and receives patients from all over the country.

Dr. Lucendo's laboratory is currently conducting translational research on the search for minimally invasive markers for EoE. On the clinical side, Dr Lucendo's group investigates independent, multicenter, and industry-sponsored clinical trials for the treatment of EoE.

Dr. Lucendo is a member of EUREOS, the European Consortium for Eosinophilic Disesases of the Gastrointestinal Tract.
