Dr. Ari M Grinspan MD

Associate Professor of Medicine, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Ari Grinspan, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and the Director of the GI Microbial Therapeutics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and completed his Internal Medicine training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he remains as full-time faculty.

Dr. Grinspan developed the Fecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT) program to treat recurrent and refractory Clostridium difficile infection at Mount Sinai, which has developed into a referral center for the tri-state area. His research focuses on exploring the mechanism and clinical utility of FMT in Clostridioides difficile infection and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
