Joy W. Chang, MD, MS is a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Chang received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and her medical degree from the University of Maryland. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She performed her gastroenterology and esophageal fellowship training at the University of Michigan, during which she also received a Master's degree in Health and Healthcare Research from the University of Michigan. Dr. Chang's main research interest is in improving care, quality of life, and patient-provider communications for patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and eosinophilic GI diseases (EGIDs). Dr. Chang's research focuses on shared decision making, health technology interventions in EoE care, and patient-centered collaborative research methods.
