Shyam Varadarjulu MD

Dr. Varadarajulu is the Medical Director of the Digestive Health Institute at Orlando Health. Previously, he was Medical Director at the Center for Interventional Endoscopy and Associate Professor of Medicine and Chief of Endoscopy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Varadarajulu completed his medical school training at Madras Medical College in India, Residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center, and an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He was past editor of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Digestive Endoscopy. He is a Principal Investigator of more than 20 randomized trials related to interventional endoscopy. He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 65 textbook chapters and is the Editor of the textbook ENDOSONOGRAPHY.
