Azadeh Khanicheh PhD

Dr. Khanicheh is Co-Founder and President of Envision Endoscopy, a medical device startup focused on developing novel devices for endoscopic surgery. Dr. Khanicheh has over a decade of experience in design, development, and launching of innovative medical devices, and served different technical lead engineering positions at PENTAX Medical, BD Medical, and Helbing Technik. She led multiple innovation programs on different portfolios of medical devices and evaluated new technologies during this period. She has worked very closely with commercial and marketing experts in the medical device industry. The teams she has led in the past have brought several products from conception through to commercial launch.

Dr. Khanicheh received her Ph.D. from Northeastern University. She completed a Post Doctoral Research fellowship and a Visiting Research Scientist position at Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Harvard Medical School. She developed one of the first fMRI compatible devices during her tenure.
