Mrs. Tedra D. Gray has been in the nursing profession for twenty years. Since 2005, she has been a board-certified nurse practitioner in the Division of Gastroenterology at Sinai Chicago. Her role includes lead APP administrative duties, management, and coordination of the inpatient GI consultation service, independently manages a weekly outpatient clinic site, and serves on the Cancer Committee, Credentialing Committee and as Quality Assurance Coordinator for the GI department. Mrs. Gray was the 2019 co-director for the Principles of Gastroenterology for the NP/PA for the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) national conference. Mrs. Gray is also a contributor and cited author to several published case reports and journal articles recognized at Digestive Disease Week. She is also the co-Founder of MidGut, a not-for-profit organization of Advanced Practice Provider (APP), focused on networking, mentoring, and educational lectures to fulfill recertification goals.

Mrs. Gray completed her BSN Degree from Dillard University in New Orleans, LA, and obtained her Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She has been a preceptor for numerous nurse practitioner and medical students. She has been a speaker for the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) to fellow gastroenterology APPs, nurse practitioners at Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nurses (ISAPN), and nurse practitioner students at the University of Illinois @ Chicago (UIC) and Rush University. Although nursing is her passion, she enjoys photography, traveling, and spending time with her family.
