Lawrence R. Kosinski, M.D., M.B.A. practiced Gastroenterology for 35 years from 1984 to 2019. He practiced in suburban Chicagoland starting in a small 3 doctor group which he built to a 50-doctor practice, the Illinois Gastroenterology Group (IGG), which is the largest Gastroenterology practice in Illinois.
Dr. Kosinski is also the founder of SonarMD, a technology-enhanced care coordination company focused on improving the care of patients with certain high-risk chronic diseases. He serves as its Chief Medical Officer and board member.
Dr. Kosinski has held numerous national leadership positions including the governing board of the American Gastroenterological Association and the Advocate Sherman Hospital Board of Directors.
Dr. Kosinski received his MD from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 1978 and earned his Masters of Management Degree (M.B.A.) from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management in 1998.
He has published extensively on value-based care as well as clinical research initiatives surrounding Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Colon Cancer.
