Abigail Meyers is a physician assistant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. In 2011, she joined the Colon and Rectal Surgery Department as a hospitalist where she worked to implement Enhanced Recovery for post-operative patients. In 2016, she transitioned to the Gastroenterology and Hepatology department of the Inflammatory Bowel and Disease Clinic.

Meyers works in a fast-paced, independent practice seeing IBD patients from around the world, and frequently collaborates with physician leaders. She enjoys educating both her professional peers and her patients. Within the clinic, she is a member of the NPPA Grand Rounds committee where she has helped to create educational materials for students and new advanced practice providers.

Meyers is also an active member of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation where she brings her skillset to both the professional membership and advanced practice provider committees. In her role there, she has updated Adult Best Practices for Advanced Practice Providers and actively works towards achieving the Foundation’s initiatives for advanced practice provider members. Meyers also serves as a Co-Chair and preceptor host site for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s Advanced Practice Provider Preceptorship program. In this role she mentors four Advanced Practice Providers from around the country. In addition, Meyers enjoys speaking at national conferences to further promote Advanced Practice Providers and ultimately improve IBD patient care.
